Albéa is mobilizing for the employment of young people and the promotion of jobs in the plastics industry

On Thursday 4 June 2020, the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Labour met at the Elysée Palace to discuss with the social partners the protection of employment in this particular context linked to the Covid-19 crisis. They discussed support for the most precarious, but also the professional integration of young people.

The fragrance and cosmetics industry mobilized

The fragrance and cosmetics industry, which brings together several thousand companies and represents more than 300,000 jobs, welcomes and trains 29,000 students and apprentices every year in research, production, training and distribution. Through its representatives, the sector expresses its desire to offer 10,000 young people - women and men - work-study or continuing training contracts, in order to provide new skills and make a concrete contribution to the economic recovery that France needs.

Albéa is mobilizing for youth employment by creating a single BTS

The Albéa group, world leader in the manufacture of cosmetic packaging and working with the most prestigious beauty brands (L'Oréal, LVMH, Estée Lauder, CHANEL), wishes to promote the industrial and plastics professions. This is why the group is investing in BTS training.

In collaboration with the Centre de Formation en Apprentissage de la Plasturgie (CIRFAP) in Lyon, Albéa has created a BTS Europlastics and Composites training course to prepare students for different jobs in the plastics and plastic injection industry such as injection fitter and setter, method or process technician, line operator and much more.

Accessible to students of the BAC S, STI, STL and BAC Pro courses in the industrial sector, the diploma is obtained by alternating over two years.

How do I register?

Registration for the BTS Europlastics and Composites is done via the online platform PARCOURSUP. At the same time, students must also register on the CIRFAP website.

What is the work-study rhythm?

The BTS Europlastics and Composites is carried out both at CIRFAP in Lyon and on one of the 6 sites of Albéa in France, at a rate of 2 to 3 weeks in a company and 1 to 2 weeks at CIRFAP. During the second year of the BTS, students must complete a 6 to 8-week internship on one of the European sites of the Albéa group, making this BTS the only technical BTS to offer an international experience to its students.

How much does it cost?

For students who do not live in Lyon, Albéa covers the costs on site. Albéa also advises to live close to the company where the student is doing his work-study.
