Ouate wins an Oscar!
Ma crème fantastique by OUATE winner of a Cosmétique Mag Oscar
French indie brand Ouate Paris – Le Touquet was awarded a Cosmétique Mag Oscar in the “children product” category for “selective distribution”.
« Ma crème fantastique » particularly caught the jury’s attention. This face cream combines nourishing shea butter and moonstone, which contains trace element with strong soothing power. This Made in France product has been tested under dermatological control to comply with strict regulation in this category of cosmetics. The formula is free from paraben, soap, mineral oils, alcohol and phthalate. This precious whipped cream is protected by a recyclable plastic tube packaging and the formula is delivered thanks to Albéa’s Néa pump, which was already familiar to Astrid Mauduit, the founder of OUATE:
« I used to manage Albéa’s dispensing systems innovation cell and I contributed to the development of the Néa pump. It makes me even prouder to see a personal touch in this product!
I partly owe this success to Albéa. I believe the jury appreciated this packaging, adapted to children on-the-go use.”
Astrid Mauduit founded Ouate in 2018. After a career in the beauty packaging industry, she sets herself a new challenge by launching a skincare brand dedicated to a new type of consumers: children aged 4 to 11.
How did you react when you discovered your product had won the Cosmétique Mag. Award?
It is simply “fantastic” like the name of the cream! Ouate is a very young brand with a beautiful story. This prize comes as a reward for the high level of quality and expectations we set for all our decisions so far.
Do you have a message for teams at Albéa – former colleagues and now suppliers?
I am very proud of my career at Albéa, it is a beautiful group with great opportunities. It allowed me to grow both on the personal and professional aspects. This 7-year experience has led me to this new career step as an entrepreneur.
I moved from being a supplier to being a customer brand and I realize that Albéa is ahead of the game in terms of packaging, as far as market demand is concerned. The group knows how to adapt to customer needs including “up and coming” independent brands, providing them with accessible offers and guiding them towards growth.
How do you see the future of your brand?
I wish for Ouate to keep growing on a segment that deserves to be developed, because it is essential to care of our children’ skin.
