Albéa’s commitment to responsibility and sustainability goes back 15 years and is recognized by CDP & EcoVadis as well as by our customers, suppliers, shareholders, and communities. Today, as the focus on plastics and sustainability takes the industry by storm, we’re evolving our Sustainability strategy, taking this major shift into account – while continuing to address the other challenges that our company, society and all of us as citizens want to address.
Albéa was the first cosmetics packaging company to sign the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s commitment to a new plastics economy. This commitment commits us to produce 100% reusable or recyclable plastic packaging by 2025.
In addition, Albéa has been awarded a Gold rating and thus ranks in the top 6% of companies evaluated by Ecovadis (on its overall social and environmental impact), and B- by the CDP on their climate index, whereas the industry average is C.
The Albéa group’s priority is to defend the beauty and personal care industry – by committing itself alongside the ecosystem and the value chain, by reaffirming the sense of partnership between customers, suppliers, partners and local communities.
