Scope Ensuring the process works at the optimum level, to the right rate and quality of output, in order to meet supply needs; Make observations and take measurements, collect and interpreting data and manage improvements. Assume responsibility for ongoing performance of processes. The ultimate goal & result is for this position to be able to quantify improvements and translate them into savings that can be reflected on our P&L in $. Main activities Improve the present manufacturing processes to increase productivity, quality, and profitability. Lead and manage projects focusing on OEE improvement, changeover time reduction, spoilage reduction and implementation of best practices while improving 5S and layouts. Conduct tests until cost-effective production process is implemented successfully Manage Design of Experiments and FMEA Manage costs and budgets for specific projects and track savings Develop justifications for new investments and equipment upgrades Implement Lean Manufacturing Processes & reduce Takt time on current processes Suggest Improvements to current equipment and manage upgrades Participate actively in Environment Health and Safety programs Accountability including KPIs Good written and verbal communications skills. Strong interpersonal skills and a good team player. The individual needs to be organized, flexible and able to work long hours and follow deadlines They must have good leadership skills Profile (Experience & qualifications) A college or university degree in mechanical, industrial or electrical engineering Black Belt certification, lean sig sigma knowledge and Continuous Improvement are a plus.
