We will do this by ensuring our Sustainable Procurement Charter is made visible and enforced with our suppliers. Our business Albéa UK Limited is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 00061652 and whose registered office is at De Novo House, Newcomen Way, Colchester, Essex, CO4 9AE. Our principal activity is the manufacturing of specialist packaging for the personal care oral care, food and pharmaceutical. Our supply chain We have mainly a European supply chain, sourcing from our own manufacturing facilities and a limited range of suppliers. Some of our suppliers are large companies with ethical products programmes of their own. Smaller local suppliers may not operate such ethical conduct programmes of their own but have agreed to adhere to Albéa's standards. Our suppliers are chosen based on quality, cost, location and compliance to Albéa's policies and standards. Our policies on slavery and human trafficking We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our Sustainable Procurement Charter reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place any where in out supply chains. Due diligence processes for slavery and human trafficking As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk we require our suppliers to complete Social Audits and we evaluate Supplier CSR performance through regular on line questionnaires allowing us to: - Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains. - Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains. - Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains. - Protect whistle blowers Training To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide training to our staff. Our effectiveness in combating slavery and human trafficking We have appointed an independent third party, Ecovadis and Intertek, to conduct an externally facilitated review to bring insights on ways that we can ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in any of our supply chains or in any part of our business.
