This position might be for you!!Reporting to the Albea Tubes COO, the Health Safety and Environment (EHS) Director will be responsible for establishing, monitoring and fostering a safety and environmental focused culture at Albea Tubes. He/she will provide overall leadership, management and strategic direction to build up Safety and Environmental Management Programs within the organization.Main activitiesThe Health Safety and Environment (EHS) Director will: :• Leads the development and execution of health & safety, environmental management, vision, mission strategy and functional excellence for the organization• Drives the establishment of objectives, plans, standards, global procedures and policies ensuring successful implementation and integration of all phases of EHS Management System for a major business enterprise; determines project timelines; oversees analysis, budget, communication, and integration; approves business workflow,• Establishes and implements short and long term organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness,• Develop, implement and evaluate programs and procedures for all facilities that enhance EHS awareness and compliance with state and country regulations as well as corporate guidelines and policies.Accountability including KPIs• Coordinate and lead site safety and health inspections and environmental, audits, assessments and industrial hygiene surveys to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices, as well as established corporate procedures and requirements,• Review all incident investigations and reports. Ensure root causes are determined. Develop and share effective actions to prevent reoccurrence with all locations,• Leads the organization of EHS professionals to develop and deploy excellence in this discipline for company’s operations,• Cooperate with plants to identify short and long-term program plans; develops and maintains strong relationships across the organization, Develops EHS management staff; sets goals in training and development, performance, and career planning,• Provide written reports of safety related issues/results to senior management on a periodic basis or as requested,Profile (Experience & qualifications)• Chemical/mechanical engineering Graduate• Minimum 10-year-experience in EHS leader’s roles, preferably in the automotive industry or similar.
